GTA 4 Recommended Specs

I’ve got the official news today. Here’s the specs :

  • Operating System: Windows XP SP2
  • Processor: Dual core processor (Intel Pentium D or better)
  • RAM: 2GB
  • Hard Drive: 18GB free hard disk space
  • Video Card: 512MB Direct3D 10 compatible video card or Direct3D 9 card compatible with Shader
  • Drive: DVD-ROM dual-layer drive

The Specs is reasonable, except for the video graphic. Only  512MB DX 10 compatible VGA ? REALLY ? I think  that is the minimum requirement, not recommended specs. Unless, Rockstar has done a very great job in optimizing the game engine. Let’s just wait this “must play” game come to our PC.

Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900

Recommended System Requirements

OS: Windows Vista – Service Pack 1 / XP – Service Pack 3
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz, AMD Phenom X3 2.1Ghz
Memory: 2 GB (Windows XP) 2.5 GB (Windows Vista)
18 GB Free Hard Drive Space
Video Card: 512MB NVIDIA 8600 / 512MB ATI 3870

    yay!!!i’ve got all those things….but my gcard sux!!its an 8500gt!!hey,i was able to play mass effect with all on high…so i hope i can play gta 4 on med or low!!!!!!dont think high is the choice for me……………..oorah pc gamers…

    I’m pretty glad I just picked up a new Laptop eh. It has 3GB RAM, 320GB Harddrive, Nvidia Geforce 9600M GT 512MB Dedicated. So hopefully the game will run nicely (not lowest settings) with these specs… 18GB is pretty heavy on the harddrive but I guess thats where games are going with Flight Simulator X and all… Anyways, looking forward to it!!

    So, I think adding some RAM will be very useful. Btw, playing with 896Mb Ram won’t be a trouble if you know how to tweak the game setting.

    I have core 2 Due 1.8ghz , 1.5 mb of ram and I am able to play crysis at 44fps with medium level settingz with my 9600GSO..

    I dont know that will I be able to play GTA 4. I was not expecting such a high processor requirement…
